First up I would just like to let you know that my blog posts will not be so frequent over the coming week. I have got a number of appointments and other commitments this week, so visits to the patch (or anywhere else for that matter) will be limited. That said I have a couple of odds and ends that I want to post so do check back. Anyway...on with the show.
I've recently been playing around with google maps and some image grabbing software that I downloaded to bring a series of Ariel photos of various parts of the patch allowing those who don't know the area to get a better feel for it. I hope you find this interesting.

Very interesting Jason. I may have a wander around some of those areas during the 'Festive Season' holiday! Thanks for the info!
ReplyDeleteTake it easy with the German 'wares'...no...enjoy!
Cheers Pam. Check out the Stanklyn Lane area for Corn Buntings & Yellowhammers.
ReplyDeleteAs for those German wares....ja, bitte!
very interesting Jase, captains pool is uncannily like the main lake on my patch, as you have said yourself :-)
ReplyDeleteCheers Warren...as we have said before, the similarities are uncanny
ReplyDeleteI tried to pinch a few ariel shots of my patch, Jason. But i can`t seem to manage it.
ReplyDeleteThe program I used to grab the images from google maps is called FastStone Capture Dean. You can donwln load it from the below web address. Its a fully functional 30day free trial. I do believe there is an older version out there freeware too. Hope this helps mate.
